2011 HCL Match Report - Compton
A win! We hadn't played against Compton before. After the sat-nav in the senior-pro's car took us on a tour of East Hampshire before we found this quaint, but remote, West Sussex village, the re-instated Club skipper won the toss and wisely elected to field on a wicket softened by overnight rain. The home side were soon in trouble after Sathiya Murugan's excellent caught & bowled reduced them to 7-2, but they recovered somewhat to 68-3, before collapsing to 76 all out (James Turner 22, Prem Kumarasamy 6-12). Tea was taken after 15 more overs when IBM were 33-1, and victory was achieved in the thirtieth over. IBM 80-2 (Richard Saville 32 not out).
